Lourdes is proud to bring EBUS – Endobronchial Ultrasound to the Tri-Cities, keeping you and hundreds of patients at home! Endobronchial Ultrasound Transbronchial Needle Aspiration (EBUS-TBNA) uses an ultrasonic bronchoscope, specifically designed for diagnostic biopsies and staging in your lung. The scope’s design enables Dr. Matharu to visualize your lymph nodes and surrounding vessels in real-time, via ultrasound, while simultaneously viewing the endoscopic image. The EBUS-TBNA System makes biopsies safer and more accurate than conventional “blind” TBNA and offers a less invasive, less costly alternative to mediastinoscopy.

Lourdes Pulmonology is a department of Lourdes Health. When you see a physician or receive services in a provider-based clinic, you are technically being treated in an outpatient department of the hospital rather than the physician’s office.
